Dreaming of a 4G World in India
In order to make convenient and easy; we have always dreamed of many things which are now possible to do in the modern age with new enhancements of technology. Enhancement of mobile technology has changed drastically with the word internet, where technology makes life easier to live. Majority of world is deploying 4G technology after 3G, its time look forward “how India will adopt this technology?”
3G adoption in India remains highly restrained in India, due to various issues. Poor network quality, low penetration of 3G handsets and killer application absence has limited to 12 to 13 million users in India. High spectrum prices have also forced the service providers to avail 3G services at a premium costing. Now 3G GPRS and data packs almost cost 5 times more than the normal data plans. In global marketplace 3G adoption has shown high growth, where our expectations focus on improved quality of 3G service from the network operators.
India has very high subscriber density per BTS (Base Transceiver Station) than many other countries. Requirements like accessing emails, live high definition video streaming and gaming are some of the major things; we want to access via Smartphones and tablet devices. 4G is the latest technology growing faster in the worldwide market. In simple terms, 4G is a mobile technology that offers internet speed up to 100 Mbps and at a stationary speed of 1Gbps
Many Smartphone makers are launching their latest flagship devices in 4G LTE model, which has forced us to look into the aspects of new mobile technology. Apple and its competitors Samsung, other brands are launching their flagship devices in 4G mode. If you are keen on buying these phones, you can choose Reliance 4G or Airtel 4G. However, BSNL and MTNL are opted for more advanced Wi-Max platform, where others have clear intentions of LTE data connection. Private players have received a 2.3 Ghz spectrum, where BSNL and MTNL are have 2.5 GHz spectrum.
As, India is the fastest growing region in Smartphone sales in Asia pacific region, we are much interested on faster internet connections on mobile. But, 4G is just a fraction of the market currently. 4G handsets are releasing in an affordable price these days. Huawei, Motorola and Xiaomi are gearing up their sales with 4G supported devices.
When 3G was launched before a couple of months with advanced features of video calling and live streaming of videos, now 4G will attract a large customer base in the next couple of years.
